Monty is a true black male huacaya alpaca born 2021 at Harmony Meadows. This is his cria fleece which means that it is amazingly soft and fine! We have lightly skirted this to remove a bunch of debris, but cria fleeces are notorious for the bits of hay that need to be picked out during processing. Montys fibre is mostly 4-5" long though you will see some variation in the leg and neck areas. Monty is Magics son, and he has inherited Magic's extremely fine, heavy fleece. The same weight of Monty's fleece will take up much less space than other alpacas.
